Autumn moorland near Winter Hill, Bolton

Here is a short video I did recently for Topps Tiles, featuring “Teg” who despite having no previous acting experience turned out to be an absolute star on the day.

I photographed this jetty, believe it or not, in Bolton, Lancashire.  However I wouldn’t go trying to find the place because admittedly a bit of jiggery-pokery has been done to the image in Photoshop.

I was driving home from work last week and this fantastic sunset built just as I was passing Anglezarke reservoir.

I had to stop and capture it, and as it included a bench I also submitted it to the World Bench Project where you can see more pictures of benches from around the world.

Al’s place... a place of mystery, alchemy and dark magic!

The Ribblehead Viaduct near Settle, in the North Yorkshire Dales.  Hundreds of Navvies lost their lives building the Settle-Carlisle Railway, from a combination of accidents, fights, and smallpox outbreaks. In particular, building this viaduct, with its 24 massive stone arches 104 feet above the moor, caused such loss of life that the railway paid for an expansion of the local graveyard.

Had a fantastic stay in Cartmel, in Cumbria last week. Weather was brilliant and managed to get a bit of walking in beside some great Real Ale and some good food served at the Pig and Whistle. I’d never been inside Cartmel Priory before, so a visit was long overdue.  The roof is currently been renovated and they had the biggest construction of scaffolding I think I have ever seen - well worth a visit.
