Brough Castle was built around 1090 by King William II. In 1136 it was seized by the Scots and held until 1157 when it was retaken by the English. The Scots almost destroyed the Castle in 1174. By 1190 Theobold de Valoines had restored much of it. In 1269 the Clifford family took ownership and it was occupied by members of the family until 1521 when it was damaged by fire. Lady Anne Clifford set about its restoration in 1660.

After getting an iPhone I have started enjoying using it as an everyday camera, and I love experimenting with some of the apps available such as Snapseed and Pixlromatic. I will post a bigger collection of shots like this soon.

The “Lymphoedema is part of who I am” Facebook group or LIPOWIA give help and support throughout the UK to people living with Lymphoedema. When they asked me to shoot some of their members for a Calendar I was only too willing to help.
We all had a great day during the shoot and even though none of the models were professionals we got some great results, which you can see below. On the right are some ‘behind the scenes’ shots done during the shoot.
