I was walking through our props room at Blink Photo the other day, and anyone who has ever been in a photographic studio props room will know that they can contain some really unusual objects.
Normally its quite dark in there, but that day sunlight was shining through the blinds and hitting this ornament / globe / whatever it is? To be honest I have no idea, but it looked great anyway. So I had to take this shot.

Most of my posts are landscapes, because I love shooting landscape! However, its not how I make a living, so I thought I’d post some of my commercial work.
Here are a few watch shots......
I have noticed that I keep posting images from abroad, so to try to re-address the balance here is an image taken in beautiful Lancashire. It shows the reservoir and church in Belmont Village near Bolton

Here are a few images I took in Portugal of graffiti or perhaps more accurately described as “Street Art”. Although many people find graffiti offensive and ugly, when it’s done really well with skill, technique and flair, I find it beautiful.

These boots weren’t made for walking. These were made for hard work and they’ve seen quite a bit...

Here is a longer slideshow of some of the images I took whilst visiting Skiathos, a Greek Island in the Aegean Sea. Skiathos was one of the Islands used as a location for the Abba movie Mamma Mia. You can see a few of the locations used for the film in the slideshow - the old harbour and the church where the letters were posted at the start of the film. Virtually every restaurant you visit on the island nows claims to have a ‘Pierce Brosnan’ or a ‘Meryl Streep’ table........ well if all the claims are true then the cast must have done nothing but eat whilst there.

I have recently returned again from Languedoc in France, a region famous for its medieval towns, Cathar Castles, Canal du Midi and vineyards. I will be posting a collection of the images I shot whilst there soon, but for now here is a shot taken during what turned out to be quite a scary drive up the Montagne Noire or Black Mountains above Roquefere - very steep single track roads and hairpin bends!!! I drove around one bend and came across this fabulous hut.

I have been shooting what is often described as "360 photography" for a few years now. At a basic level it means shooting products on a turntable and capturing a series of views as it rotates and then compiling these images in various software so that a website viewer can see a 360 degree view of the product. However sometimes a simple rotation really doesn't do a product justice, so I have tried to add extra dimensions to this and now most of this type of work I do, is best described as "photo animations". Here is a short compilation:
